Andre Panagos MD, MSc, FAAPMR

Dr. Andre Panagos focuses his expertise in the subspecialty of spine and sports medicine. He is board-certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, a field that is regarded by many experts as the ideal training background in non-operative orthopedics. He is also board certified in Pain Medicine and is certified to practice Medical Acupuncturist in New York State.

Dr. Panagos’ philosophy centers on a multidisciplinary team approach for the prevention and treatment of spine and sports problems. Working with an outstanding team of local surgeons, physical therapists and other practitioners, he focuses on education, and the use of minimally invasive approaches in evaluating and treating spine and sports conditions. Dr. Panagos believes in utilizing the most advanced practices and techniques to maximize function and quality of life despite often severe, neurologic or orthopedic conditions.

He is a fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.  He is also involved with several scientific organizations including the Association of Academic Physiatrists, North American Spine Society, American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine, International Spinal Intervention Society, American College of Sports Medicine, New York County Medical Society and the Hellenic Medical Society. He is also involved nationally with the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Panagos is a reviewer for the Archives of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and PM&R journals.

Dr. Panagos received his medical degree and Master of Science degrees from St. George’s University, School of Medicine. He completed an internship and residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Washington, followed by a Sports and Interventional Spine Fellowship at Beth Israel Medical Center. He also trained in medical acupuncture at the Helms Medical Institute/UCLA

Dr. Panagos was an Assistant Attending Physiatrist at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College. He was also the founding co-director of the Spine Center at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and was the recipient of the first Willibald Nagler Clinical Scholar Award at Weill Cornell Medical College. He was also honored to be the recipient of the 2009 Resident teaching award in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College.

Dr. Panagos has been involved in medical education for many years, including research articles, textbook chapters and has given many national and international lectures in the field of spine and sports medicine. Dr. Panagos released his textbook, Spine – A Rehabilitation Medicine Quick Reference, which broadly covers the complex field of spine care.

Charles Kim, MD, FAAPMR, CAc

Dr. Charles Kim is a well-known and established Integrative Pain Medicine Physician trained in the Eastern & Western approaches to pain conditions such as: sciatica, low back & neck pain, disc bulges, arthritis, muscle aches, sports and many other pain conditions.

He earned his medical degree at the SUNY Downstate College of Medicine, followed by an internship in Internal Medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital.  Thereafter, he completed his residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine.  Following his residency, he was awarded an Anesthesiology-Interventional Pain Medicine Fellowship, also at Mount Sinai.  He completed his Medical Acupuncture training through the UCLA School of Medicine.

Dr. Kim is dual ABMS Board Certified in Physiatry and also in Pain Medicine.  He is formerly the Director of Medical Acupuncture and served as an Assistant Professor in the departments of Anesthesiology and Rehabilitation Medicine, at the Mount Sinai Medical Center. Currently, he is affiliated with and holds clinical and academic appointment at the NYU Langone Medical Center and the NYU School of Medicine.

Dr. Kim has been featured and interviewed in a multitude of media to discuss his experiences and expertise in integrative pain management: New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Daily News, Chicago Sun Times, Forbes, CBS Early Show, NBC Martha Stewart Show, ABC News, FOX News, WB 11, UPN News, Sirius Radio, Korea Times, and many others.  He is published in peer-reviewed medical literature and also teaches and lectures at the local and national levels on topics related to Integrative Pain Medicine.  Dr. Kim is selected as among the top 5% of all doctors in the U.S., as one of the Best Doctors® in America; chosen by way of this well-known and prestigious nationwide peer-reported survey.

His wide-ranging armament of therapies to fight pain includes the most conservative such as acupuncture, medications, and physical therapies. M. Keith Burnside MPA, CFO and Director of Operations

Mr. M. Keith Burnside has experience as an entrepreneur, consultant, financial analyst and a hospital administrator and has worked in the medical field for over 15 years. Mr. Burnside holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from The Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service at New York University. He is responsible for office operations and practice management.
